What is Chi Nei Tsang Abdominal Massage?
Actually, Chi Nei Tsang means “working the energy of the internal organs” or “internal organs chi transformation.”
Chi Nei Tsang is a Taoist technique meant for unlocking ingrained emotions in every organ of the human body. This method starts in the abdomen because the digestive system is believed to be an emotional regulator. This is why we usually talk about “digesting” our emotions!
Chi Nei Tsang is a traditional abdominal massage that works on harmonising and balancing the internal and digestive system. This ancient healing art from China focuses on stimulating the internal organs and the flow of Chi.
Emotions and stress get stored through our body in the form of tension in our muscle tissue and much like food, we also need to digest and release this tension. Chi Nei Tsang gently helps to process emotions leaving a feeling of deep calm and connectedness.
Pi Jem brings her own unique style and compassion to this art. Her massage is highly therapeutic. She has been practicing for over a decade, has taught hundreds of students and is becoming one of the most loved teachers in Thailand.
The techniques that Pi Jem uses and teaches are a combination of traditional thai abdominal massage and traditional chinese abdominal massage . She follows the tradition of Tao Garden and master Mantak Chia, while also blending in her own wisdom and experience as senior therapist.

Learning process: During these 5 days PI Jem will be sharing some theory but mostly time will be devoted to demonstrations and practice. Pi Jem will be demonstrating the techniques on students. Then students will practice the techniques on each other.
We will also be practicing Chi Kung (Qigong ) every morning that helps us understand the flow of energy (Chi) in the body, which is one of the principles we use in our Chi Nei Tsang abdominal massage. Meditation will also be part of our daily ritual.
We create an intimate space where students feel comfortable to experience the true effects of this massage and share amongst each other with honest feedback. Often emotional releases occur, we hold the space with sensitivity and care.
